Valentines Day Love

I hope that everyone had a great Valentines Day, whether you spent it with a significant other, family, friends or your fur baby... or working, like the hubs and I did. Regardless of having to work, he still managed to show each me a little love.

Do you see anything on the card that may be out of character for your typical Valentines Day card?
























We are weird. But I love it and for me it's not about a fancy card, or expensive jewelry (that would just be a bonus) but it's about that the hubs was thinking about me and got me something special!

I got the hubs a sweet card, some candy and a Guinness glass and boxers. Not too bad if I say so myself!

Feeling the Love

I love Valentines Day. Some may say its just a "Hallmark holiday", but I <3 L.O.V.E it, and not just because I have someone to share it with.  I love it because it means that we are half way through February.  Then two weeks later comes March, which is Spring and St. Patty's Day (where everyone is Irish for a day) and April is Easter and "April showers bring May flowers, and what do Mayflowers bring?....Pilgrims!" May brings my birthday, which I'm getting my survivor tattoo for kicking breast cancers ass and then comes June, which equals warmth and SUMMER!

Now that I completely went off topic.  I love Valentines Day and I love decorating for it! Pink, red, purple and white everywhere, with hearts and sparkle!  I don't think the hubs' is so much of a fan but "happy wife=happy life" and crafts are WAY cheaper than therapy!!

I whipped out the paint and painted up my candlesticks with the infamous ombre, fading from dark pink to white and I think it turned out pretty sweet.

I made their home in our living room on top of a trunk that I found at a rummage sale for $5.00!! Total score, all I need to find are some casters for it so it is easier to move around.



My dog, June, has been eyeing up the candy in the jar ever since.....



And of course my kitchen got some L.O.V.E too!

I'm also working on a wreath but I lost my hot glue gun in the midst of this disaster for about a week....but I do have a decent start on it!

And of course my pup had to get in the picture...I swear it is her mission in life, besides getting as many treats as possible!
